On October 16th, 2018, Live Out Loud got to go Behind the Scenes with Facebook! After snacking on pizzas and refreshments as we answered questions on our name tags, the students got to learn about Facebook’s LGBTQ+ initiatives, and their participation in Pride marches around the world. They learned about how Facebook has become a place where people are able to connect and create LGBTQ+ groups for different hobbies, sports, and support groups.

Live Out Loud got to go behind the scenes with Uber! After a quick game of get-to-know-you Bingo, where students, Uber employees, and Live Out Loud staff got to learn some fun facts about each other, our incredible panel of seven out Uber employees took the floor.

Live Out Loud got an inside look behind the scenes at NBCUniversal! LGBTQ+ and allied students lined the conference room to hear from six amazing out professionals who do all sorts of work at NBCUniversal. They shared openly their experiences with coming out, accepting themselves, and how they’ve seen the world change for LGBTQ+ people throughout their lives.

Live Out Loud went behind the scenes with Pandora! LGBTQ+ students and their allies from all over the city packed the room to hear from an incredible panel of four out Pandora employees — from reckoning with their identities in their youth, the nuanced challenges and rewards of coming out, and the ways they never expected their careers and lives to evolve.

On October 5th 2016, Live Out Loud went behind the scenes with BuzzFeed! LGBTQ and Allied students packed the BuzzFeed conference room and waited patiently to hear from a panel of 8 out LGBTQ BuzzFeed employees. Their patience paid off!

On November 2nd 2016, Live Out Loud went behind the scenes with NBCUniversal! LGBTQ and Allied students from all over New York gathered in the NBCUniversal conference room to have a dialogue with out LGBTQ individuals who worked at the company.

On March 30th, LGBTQ students and allies from high schools spanning New York City met with Nomura Inc.’s LGBTQ affinity group at the Live Out Loud headquarters. Fleur, James, and Elvis gave presentations that tied together how cultural competency and embracing diversity play important roles in their LGBTQ identities at home and in the workplace.

On March 9th, 2016, LGBTQ students and allies from NYC high schools had the chance to go to the Deutsch headquarters and hear from a panel of Deutsch’s LGBTQ affinity group. The panelists spoke about the power of finding many different kinds of role models to look up to.

On October 13th, 2015, Live Out Loud held its monthly Behind the Scenes program at AppNexus, a fast growing tech start-up that focuses on ad technology. Members from AppNexus’ LGBTQ affinity group, OutNexus, hosted the event for LGBTQ & Ally high school students from NYC.

Live Out Loud celebrated an historic Pride weekend at the waterfront home of Bruce T. Sloane on June 27, 2015.

We were joined by special guest host John Gidding of LogoTV’s Secret Guide to Fabulous and special guest Farrah Krenek of Orange Is the New Black. We were also treated to an acoustic dinner performance by Aiden Leslie.

Celebrate Pride and support Live Out Loud’s programs that inspire, nurture, and empower LGBTQ youth by connecting them to positive role models and affirmative experiences in the LGBTQ community.

Live Out Loud’s 14th Annual Young Trailblazers Gala was an inspiring celebration of the next generation of leaders in the LGBTQ community, and those who have bravely paved the way.

An annual celebration of the continuing revolutionary role of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) leaders in business, arts, politics, religion and culture.

The Young Trailblazers Annual Gala culminates with the Live Out Loud Scholarship presentation to youth who have made significant contributions to society by Living Out Loud.
