We pride ourselves in featuring industry professionals and programs that help to end isolation, build self-esteem, foster safe communities and spaces of allies and peers, keep LGBTQ+ youth in high school through graduation, and connect them to supportive LGBTQ+ adult role models whose stories reflect and affirm their own. In addition to enhancing the in-school experience of LGBTQ+ youth through facilitator-led educational programs and after-school activities, Live Out Loud’s programs also open students’ eyes to career opportunities in LGBTQ+ positive workplaces and encourage young people to pursue college degrees. Every year, LGBTQ+ high school seniors are recognized and awarded scholarships for their outstanding leadership and commitment to working towards positive change. The Young Trailblazers Scholarship program has awarded 69 LGBTQ+ youth scholarships over the past 18 years.
