Multiple generations of the LGBT community came together to celebrate our future leaders at Live Out Loud’s Fourth Annual Pride in the Hamptons fundraiser on June 23, 2012.
We were proud to recognize couples who have married since last year’s historic marriage equality act in New York, as well as three couples in their golden years who have been together for decades. 2012 scholarship winner Brian Williams expressed his gratitude for everyone’s support, and spoke of the impact that winning Live Out Loud’s $5,000 college scholarship has had on his life. We also heard from NBC meteorologist Raphael Miranda, who described the life-changing experience of sharing his story with youth at his hometown high school for Live Out Loud’s Homecoming Project.
We give special thanks to our generous host for the evening Bruce T. Sloane for opening his home to Live Out Loud for this event since 2008.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in making a difference for LGBT youth!
