Live Out Loud is excited to honor a teacher/advisor at this year’s “Young Trailblazers” Gala. We recognize the endless sacrifices teachers make to ensure their students receive the highest quality education and feel supported emotionally and socially throughout the process. Why not nominate an educator that has made a difference in your life?

Application Guidelines and Procedures

• Students nominate a GSA advisor or teacher working at a school located in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT).
• Award criteria is based on leadership, guidance, and support for students, specifically in relation to the functioning of the GSA.
• The teacher will be awarded at our annual Young Trailblazers Gala on April 28, 2014.
• All applications must be complete for consideration.

Live Out Loud must receive all nomination forms no later than April 11, 2014. Any incomplete forms will not be considered. Completed nomination forms should be submitted to Live Out Loud for review and consideration.

Recognition Process

We will award and celebrate the Educator of the Year at Live Out Loud’s Gala on April 28, 2014. A member of your GSA will be asked to accompany your teacher to the event and acknowledge your advisor during our awards ceremony. You may be asked to read a version of your nomination essay at the event.
